- PER CUSTOMER COMPLAINT WE INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. WE CONFIRMED THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINT. WE INITIALLY CHECKED THE SERPENTINE BELT TENSIONER, BUT FOUND THAT THE TENSIONER WAS NOT THE CAUSE. THE NEXT STEP WAS TO PERFORM AN OIL CHANGE SERVICE, TO DETERMINE IF THE OIL FILTER WAS THE CAUSE. THIS ALSO DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. WE THEN REMOVED THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER COVER AND FOUND THAT THE TENSIONER WAS WELL BEYOND THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED, CONFIRMING THAT THE TIMING CHAIN IS STRETCHED. REMOVE THE VALVE COVER, TIMING COVER, REMOVE AND REPLACE THE TIMING CHAIN, TENSIONER, GUIDES, ALL NECESSARY SEALS AND GASKETS. WE ALSO REPLACED THE INTAKE CAMSHAFT SPROCKET AND THE SOLENOID. INSTALL A NEW VALVE COVER GASKET. DRAIN AND FILL OIL.

CLEAN AND REPACK THE WHEEL BEARINGS AND REPLACE THE SEALS IF EQUIPPED. BLEED THE BRAKE IF NECESSARY. CHECK AND FILL THE BRAKE FLUID. TORQUE THE LUG NUTS AND TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE. NOTE: SUBSEQUENT OVER TORQUING OF THE LUG NUT CAN AND WILL DAMAGE THE BRAKE ROTOR(S). THIS WILL CAUSE PULSATION. WE USE A TORQUE BAR TO ENSURE THAT THE LUG NUT TORQUE IS CORRECT, EVERY TIME. IF THE LUG NUTS ARE OVER TORQUED, WE CANNOT WARRANTY THE PARTS, NOR THE LABOR. THIS IS AN EXCEPTION TO OUR 2YR/24K MILE WARRANTY.

- PER CUSTOMER COMPLAINT WE INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. WE FOUND THAT THE OIL DRAIN PLUG WAS LEAKING. WE HAVE TO REMOVE THE DRAIN PLUG TO CHECK IF IT IS THE PLUG OR JUST THE GASKET. AT THIS TIME, THE VEHICLE IS OVERDUE FOR AN OIL CHANGE BY OVER 7K MILES BE STICKER. DRAIN AND FILL THE ENGINE OIL, REMOVE AND REPLACE THE ENGINE OIL FILTER. NOTE: THERE IS ALSO WHAT APPEARS TO BE A REAR MAIN SEAL LEAKING. AT THIS MILEAGE WE DO NOT RECOMMEND REPAIRING THIS ISSUE. NOTE: THERE WAS SOME DAMAGE TO THE THREADS ON THE OIL PAN, WE CLEANED UP AS BEST WE COULD AND INSTALLED A NEW DRAIN PLUG. IT TIGHTENED PROPERLY AND IS NOT LEAKING AT THIS TIME. IF THE LEAK RETURNS, MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THE OIL PAN AS IT HAS ODD THREADS.
